Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a notice withdrawing its previous invitation for applications for recognition or approval of Accreditation Bodies. The present withdrawal was notified on 8th June, 2023.
It may be recalled that the FSSAI had, on 28th December, 2023 issued a notice inviting application for recognition by FSSAI as Accreditation Body for food testing laboratories.
However, by the present notification, the FSSAI has decided to withdraw its abovestated invitation for administrative reasons.
