Extensions in Date of Compliance with Quality Control Order for 6 Chemicals

The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has issued orders extending the commencement of the quality control orders of several acids, including fatty acids. These orders are dated 19th October, 2023 and have come into effect on 20th October 2023.

The extensions apply to the following quality control orders:

1. Lauric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2022
2. Acid Oil (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023
3. Palm Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023
4. Rice Bran Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023
5. Coconut Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023
6. Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acids (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023

All of the above quality control orders shall come into force on the 24th April, 2024.
