The Central Government has proposed the Draft Non-Basmati Aromatic Rice Grading and Marking Rules, 2023. These draft rules are being introduced to ensure that Non-Basmati aromatic rice intended for direct human consumption meets established grading and marking criteria.

The draft rules are now open for public consideration. The public has until 30th November 2023 to submit objections or suggestions concerning the proposed rules.

Interested parties can forward their objections or suggestions to the Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India, Directorate of Marketing and Inspection, Head Office, CGO Complex, NH – IV, Faridabad, Haryana 121001.
