The Haryana Chief Minister has allocated an additional Rs 16.98 crore for the expedited completion of the Railway Overbridge (ROB) on the Chandigarh-Kalka Railway line, NH21A (New NH-105). A press release was issued on this on October 17, 2023.
The total revised estimate for the construction work is now approximately Rs. 38.71 crore.
The Chief Minister granted administrative approval for the extra funds, amounting to Rs 16.98 crore, with the aim of further hastening the construction progress.
Providing more details on the matter, an official spokesperson revealed that 70 percent of the total work has already been completed. They mentioned a change in the scope of the approach road gradient, which shifted from 1 in 40 to 1 in 30 towards the Baddi side. In addition to this, the decision was made to construct the ROB on viaducts instead of using a retaining wall (RE wall), and these changes were factored into the revised estimates. The spokesperson emphasized that the additional funding of Rs 16.98 crore was approved with the convenience and utility of the public in Pinjore in mind.
Furthermore, the spokesperson informed that the work is currently in progress, with 70% of it already completed. As of September 2023, the expenditure on the project has amounted to Rs 21.98 crore.
