The Chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC) led the staff and officers of the commission in taking the Integrity Pledge as part of Vigilance Awareness Week. This year’s theme for the awareness week is “Say No to Corruption; commit to the Nation.” The pledge was taken on November 6, 2023, and a press release was issued on it.

The event, which took place at the NMC’s headquarters, saw the Chairman emphasizing the importance of the pledge in fostering a work environment that is free from corruption. In his address to the employees, he underscored the need for individuals to commit to the values of transparency, integrity, and accountability in their daily lives and official dealings.

The Chairman stated, “By taking this pledge, we all should remind and recommit ourselves to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability in our daily life as well as in official dealings. We, in collaboration with the public and stakeholders, should unite to fight all forms of corruption with our full strength.”

The Integrity Pledge serves as a powerful symbol of the NMC’s commitment to ethical conduct and underscores the organization’s dedication to its mission of ensuring quality healthcare services and medical education across the nation.

Employees were also encouraged to take the pledge online by visiting the website of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

Vigilance Awareness Week is a significant step in raising awareness about the detrimental impact of corruption on society and the importance of fostering integrity and transparency in all sectors, including healthcare.
