The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has issued corrigendum to its Expression of Interest for development of a Digital Drugs Regulatory System (DDRS). This corrigendum was issued om 10th November, 2023.
It may be recalled that the CDSCO had contemplated the creation of the DDRS as a unified digital ecosystem that will replace existing portals. To bring this idea to fruition it had invited proposals to set up a DDRS on 2nd November, 2023. As per the original invitation, interested Software Service Providers (SSPs) that meet the pre-qualification criteria could submit their Expression of Interest, along with all necessary documents, by 30th November, 2023.
The CDSCO has now extended this deadline for submission of EoIs to 16:00 hours on Wednesday, 7th December, 2023. EoIs must be submitted by email to [email protected].
The aim of this project is to develop the DDRS as a unified digital ecosystem that will replace existing portals.
Additionally, the corrigendum specifies the following important dates:
- Last date for Submission of Queries (by email only): 22nd November 2023
- Pre-Bid Conference (In hybrid mode) Date and Time: 29th November 2023 at 2:00 P.M.

This extension of deadlines for submission of EoIs for the development of DDRs provides an opportunity for increased participation of SSPs in the CDSCO’s endeavour. The development of DDRS represents a step towards enhancing regulatory systems in India, ensuring the availability of quality medicines for the country and the world.
