Ayurveda Day is celebrated every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti. The day was celebrated this year on November 10, 2023. A press release was issued on the same date to commemorate the celebrations.
Pertinently, the micro website created for Ayurveda Day received the support of 20 crore people across the globe. The month-long campaign reached 102 countries digitally, coverage in media of 80 countries. It included a total of 20 thousand activities. Also, “Run for Ayurveda” was organized at 424 locations. News of these events were published in regional and national media of about 80 countries.
Additionally, service delivery of AYUSH sector is strengthened through AYUSH Grid Project. More than 8000 wellness centers have also been established across the country. Institutions like IIT, AIIMS and CSIR have joined hands with AYUSH to understand the molecular properties of Ayurvedic medicines.
Furthermore, the National Dhanvantari Ayurveda Awards were also announced for distinguished service in the field of Ayurveda. The two-day program of Ayurveda Day emphasised on conversion of the mass message of Ayurveda into a mass movement through public participation and establishing Ayurveda globally.
