The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain standards for Textiles, AI, Wind Energy Generation Systems and Communication Aids for Blind Persons. These notifications were published on December 22, 2023.
The revised standards on Textiles are as follows:
- Monoaxially Oriented High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Polypropylene (PP) Tapes — Specification (Third Revision)
- High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Polypropylene (PP) Woven Fabrics — Specification (Third Revision)
- High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packing Pesticides — Specification (Third Revision)
- Woven Roving Fabrics of ‘E’ and ‘ECR’ Glass Fibre — Specification (Second Revision)
- Faller Screws for Jute Drawing Frames — Specification (First Revision)
- Polyvinyl Alcohol for Industry — Specification (First Revision)
It has also introduced the following standards on Communication Aids for Blind Persons, Wind Energy Generation Systems, Artificial Intelligence:
