The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has released clarifications on two issues pertaining to online payments and the registration process for M.Pharm pursuing students on the PCI portal. These FAQs were published on January 18, 2024.
The FAQs cover the following aspects:
1. Clarification on Payment Updates for SIF and Services:
Concerns have been raised regarding the timeline for payment updates on the PCI server. The following solutions have been provided:
- Online payments: The PCI assures applicants that online payments will be updated on the PCI server within 24 hours after a successful transaction from the applicant’s bank.
- NEFT/RTGS payments: For payments made through NEFT/RTGS, the PCI ensures that updates on the server will be processed within 3 days after a successful transaction from the applicant’s bank.
Applicants are encouraged to allow the stipulated time for the updates to reflect on the PCI server.
2. Clarification on M.Pharm Pursuing Student Registration on PCI Portal:
The PCI has outlined a comprehensive process for M.Pharm pursuing students to register on the PCI student portal through the Pharmacist portal. The steps are as follows:
- Registration as Pharmacists: Students must first register as pharmacists on the portal.
- Complete Profile: After registration, login and fill in the complete profile details.
- Master Course Application: In the Pharmacist services section, select “Master Course Application,” fill in the required details, and submit the application.
- Institution Approval: After submission, the request will be sent to the respective institutions. Institutions should log in, navigate to the “Master Course Application” under the service tab, and either accept or reject the request.
- Student Display: Upon acceptance by the institution, student details will be displayed in the “Student” tab under the Education module.
A visual guide with screenshots illustrating the step-by-step process is attached as Appendix 1 of the FAQs for further clarity.
