The Central Government has introduced the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (Amendment) Regulations, 2024. These regulations were published on January 19, 2024 and have come into effect immediately.

The amendment brings a crucial change to the existing Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Regulations, 2021, specifically in regulation 35. The introduced explanation expands the scope of “other conditions of service” applicable to regular employees of the Institute. The newly added explanation reads as follows:

Explanation: For the purpose of this regulation, “other conditions of service” that apply to the regular employees of the Institute now also include the service conditions of every person who is employed in two anteceding institutions, namely, Shree Gulabkunverba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Jamnagar, the Indian Institution of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jamnagar, and the Department of Swasthvritta, who have become employees of the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda.

This clarification is designed to provide uniformity and inclusivity in the service conditions for individuals transitioning from the mentioned anteceding institutions to the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda. By incorporating the service conditions of employees from these precursor institutions, the amendment aims to streamline and harmonize the employment terms within the broader framework of the Institute.
