The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain standards for Artificial Intelligence, Plastics and Textiles. This notification was published on November 17, 2023.
The newly introduced standards are as follows:
- IS/ISO/IEC TS 4213 : 2022 Information Technology — Artificial Intelligence — Assessment of Machine Learning Classification Performance
- IS 18453 : 2023/ISO 2558 : 2010 Textiles — Glass Chopped-Strand Mats for Reinforcement of Plastics — Determination of Time of Dissolution of the Binder in Styrene
- IS 18454 : 2023/ISO 2559 : 2011 Textile Glass — Mats (Made from Chopped or Continuous Strands) — Designation and Basis for Specifications
- IS 18455 : 2023/ISO 10618 : 2004 Carbon Fibre — Determination of Tensile Properties of Resin Impregnated Yarn
- IS 18456 : 2023/ISO 15100 : 2000 Plastics — Reinforcement Fibres — Chopped Strands — Determination of Bulk Density
- IS 18457 : 2023/ISO 22314 : 2006 Plastics — Glass-Fibre-Reinforced Products — Determination of Fibre Length
- IS 18475 : 2023 Power Quality Measurement and Monitoring — Methods
It has also revised the following existing standard:
- IS 6609 (Part 3) : 2023 Commercial Blasting Explosives and Accessories — Methods of Test Part 3 Detonators, General and Permitted (First Revision)
The previous version of this standard is withdrawn from February 15, 2024.
All of these standards have been established on November 15, 2023.
