The Central Drugs Standard and Control Organisation (CDSCO) has added two more drugs to its Drugs Alert List for June 2023. This addition was made by virtue of a revision dated 22nd August, 2023.
Through this revision the following drugs have been declared as spurious:
- Pantoprazole Gastro- Resistant Tablets IP (PAN*40) having batch number 22440483 and
- PAN 40 (Pantoprazole Gastro- Resistant Tablets I.P.) having batch number 22441073
The actual manufacturer (as per label claim) has informed that the impugned batch of the product has not been manufactured by them and that it is a spurious drug. Thus, the product is purported to be spurious, however, the same is subject to outcome of investigation.
