The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a notices on the upcoming Exit Examination for D.Pharm Course for 2022-2024 Academic Session. This Exit Examination will be held under “Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Exam Regulations, 2022”. The present notices were issued on December 22, 2023.
The PCI will be conducting the Exit Examination in July – September 2024 through National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The dates of this examination will be announced un due course.
The PCI has emphasised that the candidates who have been admitted in the 2022-2023 academic session for D.Pharm Course and who will pass out in 2023-2024 academic session will not be able to register as registered pharmacists until they fulfill certain criteria.
State Pharmacy Councils shall register these candidates as pharmacist only if they:
- qualify the exit examination and
- fulfill conditions under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 such as
- payment of the prescribed fee
- attained the age of eighteen years
- resides, or carries on the business or profession of pharmacy, in the State and
- possesses approved qualifications
