The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has issued another notification extending the last date of admissions for all nursing programmes. This notification was issued on 31st October, 2023.
It may be recalled that the deadline had previously been fixed for 30th September, 2023. It was subsequently extended to 31st October, 2023. Now, by the present notification, the INC has further extended the deadline for admissions to 30th November, 2023.
This extension in deadline for admissions for the academic year 2023-2024 is in response to requests received from several states. However, it must be noted that the total number of students admitted upto 31st October, 2023 (regular batch) and 30th November, 2023 (irregular batch) must add up to the sanctioned strength and shall not exceed the annual intake.
These programmes include:
- Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM)
- General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (B.Sc. (N))
- Master of Science Nursing (M.Sc. (N))
- Post Basic Bachelor of Science Nursing (P. B. B. Sc .(N)
- Post Basic Diploma and
- Nursing Practitioner Programmes
Moreover, for all the above programmes, the INC guidelines with respect to completion of syllabus, attendance and other requirements must be strictly adhered to.
Hence, the last date for admissions to nursing programmes stands extended to 30th November, 2023.
