The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has issued an office memorandum (OM) laying down the Annual Physical Targets for setting up small biogas plants for 14 new Programme Implementation Agencies (PIAs). This OM was issued on 26th June, 2023.
It may be recalled that by an OM dated 10th May, 2023, the MNRE had conveyed the Annual Physical Targets for setting up small biogas plants for 30 PIAs for FY 2023-2024. Now by the present OM, the MNRE has laid down the Annual Physical Targets for setting up small biogas plants and for conducting various training courses for 14 new PIAs for FY 2023-2024.
Moreover, Amul Dairy, Anand and MDDB Mrida Ltd., Anand are requested to work in consultation with the Designated Biogas State PIA, districts or development blocks of the respective states/ UTs.
