The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has made significant reforms in the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (ALMM) Order, 2019. In line with its commitment to quality and efficiency, the Ministry has diligently updated List – I (Manufacturers and Models of Solar PV Modules) of ALMM Order, 2019, to ensure compliance with BIS Standards and enhance module efficiency. Hence, an Office Memorandum dated 24th July, 2023 has bee issued.
The recent update, Revision – XII, which comes into effect from 31st May 2023, reflects the Ministry’s continued dedication to improving the quality and performance of solar photovoltaic modules in the country. The updated list includes only those models of Solar PV Module Manufacturers that meet the stringent BIS Standards and boast a minimum module efficiency of 19% or higher.
This proactive approach aims to streamline the enlistment process and ensure that only the most efficient and compliant models make it to the Approved List. Solar PV Module Manufacturers, whose models’ validity expired on or before 9th March 2023 and did not apply for renewal before the deadline, have been delisted from the ALMM List-1.
Additionally, the Ministry has granted provisional ALMM enlistment to M/s. Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Pvt. Ltd. for their manufacturing facility located at Sy. No. 66-70/3, Pemmanahalli Village, Sompura Hobli, Dabaspet, Nelamangala Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, Karnataka. This grant applies to certain additional Solar PV Module Models produced by the company, as specified in Annexure-I of the updated list.
