This clarification is designed to provide uniformity and inclusivity in the service conditions for individuals transitioning from the Shree Gulabkunverba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Jamnagar and the Department of Swasthvritta to the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda. By incorporating the service conditions of employees from these precursor institutions, the amendment aims to streamline and harmonize the employment terms within the broader framework of the Institute.
Landmark Initiatives to Boost Ayush Sector Launched in North East India
The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the first-ever dedicated Panchakarma block in the North East region. This facility, situated at CARI, is equipped with modern amenities and will provide Panchakarma therapies to the public at reasonable rates. The Pharmacology & Bio Chemistry lab, another new initiative, was also inaugurated during the event. It will scientifically validate therapeutic and safety potential, develop cost-effective poly herbal formulations, and work towards harnessing the rich biodiversity of the North East region.
WHO to Include Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani Morbidity Codes
The ICD series by WHO serves as a global standard for classifying diseases, providing a common language for health information. While the existing data primarily reflects modern biomedical practices, the upcoming ICD 11 TM Module 2 aims to incorporate data and terminology from Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani (ASU) systems, bringing global uniformity to the classification of traditional medicine.

Ayurveda Day is celebrated every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti. The day was celebrated this year on November 10, 2023. . The two-day program of Ayurveda Day emphasised on conversion of the mass message of Ayurveda into a mass movement through public participation and establishing Ayurveda globally.
National Dhanwantri Ayurveda Award to be conferred on Ayurveda Day
The Ministry of Ayush has decided to celebrate “Ayurveda Day” every year on the day of Dhanwantri Jayanti (Dhanteras). The Ministry has resolved to institute “National Dhanwantri Ayurveda Award” which will be conferred on that day.
