The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had previously reduced the qualifying percentile for PG-MDS (Postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery) Courses in the NEET PG-MDS Counselling 2023 by 31.807 percentage points across all categories. Therefore, in light of this, it has also released a fresh schedule for NEET PG-MDS Counselling 2023.
DCI reiterates its direction to Dental Colleges to Upload Admission Details on DCI Website
The Dental Council of India (DCI) has reiterated its request to all dental institutions regarding the admission details of students in MDS (Master of Dental Surgery) and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2023-24. This information must be submitted on or before the last date of joining, which is October 10, 2023, at 12:00 midnight.
DCI publishes its Final Counselling Schedule for MDS Course for 2023-24
The Dental Council of India (DCI) has published its Final Counselling Schedule for MDS Course for Academic Session 2023-24. As per the Schedule, the PG Session for MDS Courses for the academic year 2023 will commence from 5th September, 2023.
Dental Colleges Directed to Upload MDS/PG Diploma Course Admissions for 2023-24 on DCI Website
To ensure a seamless process and prevent last-minute complications, dental institutions are strongly urged to upload student details gradually, immediately after the joining of students in each counseling round. Dental institutions are warned against uploading details of students without authentic admissions, and they are reminded that they bear the responsibility of providing accurate information.
DCI directs observance of Anti Ragging Day & Anti Ragging Week
This initiative by the UGC and DCI is aimed at raising awareness and promoting a zero-tolerance approach towards ragging in educational institutions across the country.
DCI issues notice on provisional registration of BDS students before internship
The DCI has directed that the principals of all dental colleges in the country should allow compulsory rotary internship of BDS students only after ensuring that the certificate of provisional registration is issued by the respective state dental councils.
DCI directs Dental Colleges to Conduct Anti-Ragging Orientation Program in Compliance with Guidelines
While conducting Anti-Ragging Orientation Programs, the dental colleges must either invite a DCI member from their own state or from a neighboring state if the member from their own state is unavailable for any reason. Furthermore, after conducting the program, the dental colleges must promptly provide the prescribed documents to the DCI office.
