Andhra Pradesh Milk Procurement (Protection of Farmer) and Enforcement of Safety of Milk Standards Rules, 2023
This Notification regulates safety of milk standards rules such as standard milk analyzer used for the purpose of determining the quality parameters like fat, SNF and gives results of these parameters within the tolerance range as per standards. The users of Milk Analyzer shall apply for the license to an authorized officer in the prescribed Form No 1 and on a payment of Rs 1000/- for a term of one year. Every Milk Analyzer shall apply for the license within 30days from the date of publication of these rules in the official gazette.
FoSCoS Introduces Provision For Updation/ Revision of Annual Return
FBOs who have filed annual returns by May 31 of the next year can revise their returns for a maximum of two times. The last submitted annual return will be considered as final. The provision of revised filing of annual return has come into effect January 6, 2024 for annual returns for FY2022-2023.

The Union Health Minister officially launched the website for the Healthy & Hygienic Food Street initiative and unveiled a brochure outlining the Standard Operating Procedure for these food streets. In addition to this, he also inaugurated 17 civil works, including two Public Health Unit blocks, 54 Chief Minister Sanjeevni Health Clinics, three Integrated Public Health Labs, an Emergency Covid response package, three Community Health Centres, and eight Primary Health Care Centres.
FSSAI CEO Embarks On Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra In Kardnur Village

Draft Ghee Grading and Marking Rules, 2023
The draft rules are intended to supersede the existing Ghee Grading and Marking Rules, 1938, amended up to 1991. This proposed overhaul of the Ghee Grading and Marking Rules, 2023, seeks to enhance the quality and standardization of ghee production and ensure the safety of ghee products in the market.
FSSAI Directs QR Code Authentication for Fortified Rice Test Reports
All FSSAI notified laboratories, which have been approved for testing of Fortified Rice (FR), Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK), and Vitamin Premix for FRK, are now directed to provide a QR code on all test reports issued by them. This QR code can be scanned using any QR scanning application available on mobile or any device, enabling authentication and online reproduction of the test report.

This list includes details on the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accreditation status and contact information for each laboratory.
FSSAI Notifies NABL Accredited Laboratories for Analysis of Food Samples
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has modified its list of laboratories accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). These laboratories are notified for the purposes of carrying out analysis of food samples taken in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
Warning Statement to be Included on ‘Pan Masala’
As per directions dated 22nd May, 2023, Pan Masala must have a declaration that “The warning statement must cover 50% of front-of-pack of the label”. The enforcement of this requirement is deferred for a further period of 6 months from 1st November, 2023.
