Expression of Interest for Appointment of Knowledge Partner for Healthy and Hygienic Food Street Program

The primary objective of “Healthy and Hygienic Food Streets” is to elevate the hygiene conditions at all street food hubs, addressing not only the preparation but also the serving of food. Recognizing that the successful implementation of this project will require coordination with multiple stakeholders at the state and district levels, FSSAI has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested entities to provide technical support on the ground.

Govt of Delhi bans dealings in Tobacco

The Department of Food Safety of the Govt of NCT of Delhi has issued a notification banning any dealings in Tobacco products till 21st August, 2024. The notification imposes a ban on manufacture, storage, distribution, and sale tobacco products, including gutka, paan masala, flavoured or scented tobacco, kharra and similar products.

FSSAI updates its list of Recognised Food Testing Laboratories

The present list includes the validity of the laboratories’ NABL accreditation, scope of testing as on 28th August, 2023 for the purpose of carrying out the analysis of food samples taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Rules and Regulations made thereunder.
