Aadhar authentication mandated for Travel Concession to Patients on ART visiting ART Centres in Delhi
The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has mandated that an individual eligible for receiving the benefits under the Scheme of Travel Concession to the Patients on ART for visiting ART Centres in Delhi has to furnish proof of possession of the Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication.
National AIDS Control Program Review Meeting in Agra
The National AIDS and STD Control Program (NACP) is currently in its fifth phase, aiming to reduce new HIV infections and AIDS-related mortality while also eliminating the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS in society. Several initiatives were highlighted, including the National AIDS toll-free helpline, lifetime free ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) services, free lifelong antiretroviral (ARV) medicines for people living with HIV, and various counseling and diagnostic services.
New Aadhaar Requirement Introduced for Scheme Benefits
According to the guidelines, individuals desiring to avail benefits under the scheme must possess an Aadhaar number or enroll for Aadhaar before registering for the scheme. Those without an Aadhaar number can visit any Aadhaar enrolment center listed on the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website (www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled.
MoHFW invites Applications for Non-Government Principal Recipients to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria
Organizations interested in applying are expected to submit a proposal or concept note focusing on priority areas for HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria disease components. The deadline for submission is 13th July 2023.
