The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has issued a notice proposing the conduct of the XXXVIth Analytical Quality Control (AQC) Exercise for Environmental Laboratories. This notice was issued on 21st August, 2023.
The CPCB is focusing on the assessment of Physico-Chemical parameters within the water matrix. This initiative is set to take place in November 2023.
The AQC Exercise is aimed at ensuring the accuracy and reliability of environmental data produced by laboratories recognized under the Environmental Protection Act of 1986, as well as the environmental laboratories operated by CPCB, State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs), and Pollution Control Committees (PCCs).
Laboratories eligible to participate in this exercise are urged to take note of the deadline for submitting the AQC Participation Fee, which is set on or before 31st October, 2023. The fee structure for participation is as follows:

- Laboratories of Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies:
- Prescribed Fee for AQC Exercise Participation: ₹20,000/-
- GST @ 18%: ₹3,600/-
- Total Fees: ₹23,600/-
- Private Laboratories:
- Prescribed Fee for AQC Exercise Participation: ₹30,000/-
- GST @ 18%: ₹5,400/-
- Total Fees: ₹35,400/-

It is imperative to note that any fees deposited after the due date will not be considered, and CPCB will not be responsible for any refund processes related to late payments.
